Monette Brings New Jobs To East End

Another example of the temp. following through on a campaign promise to create new jobs in the East end of the city.

(Did anyone tell him that these new jobs aren't even in his ward?)

How To Take A Shit In The Woods

Whoever in Corporate Communications wrote, edited, or published this piece of junk....you know the one that gives local teens advice on how to properly party in the bush MUST be FIRED.

Time and time again, this city government shows why substantial job cuts are not only needed but fully warranted.

And another thing....why has only one city councillor (HARDER) bothered to raise a stink about this waste of time and money? In November we urge you to elect people who actually think that these corporate mistakes need some sort of punishment.

Laughable

If there is one nominated candidate who's run at city council is puzzling, it would be Mr. Dan BIOCCHI running in Ward 19. BIOCCHI if you recall (or care) ran as a Green Party candidate in Ottawa-Orleans in 2004. Lost. Then in an ironic twist in 2005 joined sitting MP Marc GODBOUT in a last ditch attempt to fend off the scary hidden agenda of Stephen Harper and his gang of thugs (please note the irony, we happen to like Stephen).

BIOCCHI and Crystal LEBLANC (running in Ward 3) both competed in the federal election of 2004- why do defeated candidates from provincial and federal levels think they can win again at the municipal level? Voters can identify this type of cheap opportunism-and speak with their pencils on voting day.

The Hall Monitor will be following these two candidates with interest to discover their real motivation for running municipally.

Holmes Is Still Wrong-But At Least She Knows It Now!

Enough babble about being "prejudice"....The Pride Festival of Ottawa is a financial disaster. For that reason a majority of councillors on the CSEDC used common sense and realized that a group which is still in debt from last years party, did NOT deserve bail out funding again.

Move on, if the Pride festival is sooooo important we suspect that a private firm will kick in the additional cash.

Holmes Is Wrong

A bailout of The Pride festival proposed by Coun. Holmes is downright stupid. This organization cannot manage it's money (reference the thousands of dollars already owed to the city), and should not be granted any more bail-outs. City Hall is a place of democracy not a pay-day loan business.

It is time to set an example, and this organization should be that example.

Can't Be A Liberal Leader

Might as well back the Muntie campaign for mayor. Guess Manley didn't get along with his Liberal buddy Bob.

Another Mayoral Candidate

Can't say we've heard much of him before, but all competition is good competition.

As for his plan for a subway, and why Ottawa is still without one? Well it's quite simple, it would collapse, the earth below this great city is not very compatible with a large hole running beneath it.
